The endless iterations of Microsoft’s vcredist.exe Visual C utility, dated by year of release & available in both x86 & x64 versions often cause confusion with modern OS (11) that doesn’t have any version preinstalled. Do I need 2008 x86 & x64? I don’t need 2010 but I do need 2008 & 2013 – you may have been there yourself. Without the correct versions installed, important applications such as WAMPP web server won’t install. Instead of a smooth 3-5 minute process, you end up downloading 10 or more 5-6MB files then having to reboot once they’re all onboard. If only there was a better way…
There IS a better way! Github user abbodi1406 has wrapped up the entire vcredist collection into a single .exe – why Microsoft never did this, I do not know. Download a single 28MB file that installs all the Visual C you need with just 1 click. Get it here.
